We grow eastern native plants that supply essential resources to native birds, native bees (especially declining species of bumble bees), butterflies and moths, herbivorous and beneficial insects. Our plants are grown without the use of pollinator-harming neonicotinoid pesticides.
We are an ethical nursery and never harvest any of our plants from the wild! We propagate plants from seed in order to grow straight species of native plants, not genetic clones produced with tissue culture! Straight species (not hybrids, cultivars or nativars) generally provide the most resources for native pollinators and other wildlife that utilize native plants as part of their life cycle. Growing and propagating straight-species plants also contributes to genetic diversity and resilience within our native plant populations. We also source young, seed-grown shrubs and trees from local wholesale nurseries which we grow on and sell at our nursery.

Thank you all for a great season, in spite of the floods!
